The A.M. Qattan Foundation is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of Resource Development and Partnerships Manager to work in its offices in Ramallah. The following is the description of this position:

Job Objectives:

Support the Director General and programme directors in developing and advancing the Foundation’s strategic directions in resource development and partnerships, with the aim of expanding and sustaining the Foundation’s funding and collaboration base in line with its vision, mission, and values. The role holds a key and integral responsibility in shaping and implementing the Foundation’s resource development strategy, cultivating and managing a diverse portfolio of partnerships-including but not limited to doners- and leading innovative initiatives that promote long-term engagement with institutional and individual supporters, strategic allies, and collaborative networks.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Strategy and Leadership

• Lead the design and implementation of the Foundation’s resource development and partnerships strategy, in line with organisational priorities.

• Proactively identify and develop innovative non-traditional initiatives for fundraising and partnership-building, including community-based giving, individual donors, private sector alliances, and cross-sectoral collaborations.

• Advise the Director General and senior team on opportunities and risks related to funding diversification, strategic alliances, and stakeholder positioning.

2. Partnership and Relationship Management

• Build, manage, and sustain long-term value driven relationships with institutional donors, foundations, individual supporters, corporate partners, and other strategic actors.

• Develop and implement personalized engagement and stewardship plans, ensuring tailored communication, recognition, and follow-up.

• Serve as the main point of contact for partners and donors managing queries, visits, and ongoing engagement to ensure professional and responsive experience.

3. Prospect Research and Pipeline Development

• Conduct regular research and mapping of prospective funding and partnership opportunities across sectors and geographies.

• Coordinate internally to align prospecting efforts with the Foundation’s evolving programme and strategic directions and priorities.

• Maintain and update tracking tools and pipelines, ensuring systematic follow-up, segmentation, and monitoring.

4. Proposal Development and Compliance

• Coordinate the preparation of funding proposals and partnership concept notes with programme teams and the contracted proposal-writing consultants.

• Review and finalize submissions to ensure alignment with partner/donor requirements, narrative coherence, and organisational priorities.

• Maintain oversight of active grants and collaborative agreements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, reporting timelines, and quality standards.

5. Communication and Reporting

• Lead the development of tailored partner and donor-centered communications, including impact reports, strategic updates, and fundraising/partnership materials.

• Collaborate with the Communications Unit to ensure cohesive messaging that supports engagement and alignment with external stakeholders.

• Ensure all partners and donors receive timely and relevant information about the outcomes and impact of their contributions and collaborations.

6. Event and Campaign Support

• Design and coordinate stakeholder events, partnership launches, and fundraising initiatives that align with partner interests and Foundation goals.

• Support the creation of targeted pitch materials, briefings, and campaign for strategic engagement.

7. Managerial Tasks

• Develop and manage the resource development and partnerships work plan and budget.

• Maintain an accurate and updated database of partners, donors, contract summaries, and compliance trackers.

• Contribute to organisational reporting and represent the Foundation in relevant external networks, meetings, and forums.

Education:

- BA in business, marketing, communication, international relations or equivalent professional/work experience. (Master’s Degree Preferred).

Experience:

- At least seven years of work experience.

Technical Skills:

- Experience working with institutional donors (e.g. foundations, cultural funders, bilateral/multilateral agencies) is essential. Familiarity with individual giving models and alternative fundraising strategies is highly desirable.

- Experience in the Palestinian and/or regional context.

- Relationship building and interpersonal skills.
